Fix Distorted Video when Playing Media Files with VLC Media Player

I absolutely love VLC Media Player. The interface is simplistic. I don't have to deal with codecs. And its free. However, it does have one little kink in it. That is that some files playback in inverted colors. The fix to this is really quite simple and only requires changing one setting.

This problem can be fixed by changing the video output module. To do this, drill down to the following setting.

Preferences > Video > Output Modules. (Make sure that the advanced option is checked in the lower left hand corner.

Try to select one of the different output modules. Most people have fixed this problem by simply doing this.
